BECOME A STEWARD OF THE LAKES JOIN THE GULL CHAIN OF LAKES ASSOCIATION The Gull Chain of Lakes Association is an alliance of people interested in the Gull Chain of Lakes in Cass and Crow Wing Counties. The Association is devoted to the restoration and continued preservation of the highest water quality and environmental standards achievable, promotion of responsible use of land and water resources and recreational safety on the Gull Chain of Lakes. Funds are used to maintain a first class buoy system throughout the chain, provide education to members, conduct lake testing and stream monitoring, maintain an invasive species boat inspection program at landings and to establish an invasive species fund in the event any of the lakes become infested. You do not have to live on the Gull Chain to be a member of the Gull Chain of Lakes Association. Business memberships are especially welcome and will result in a listing in our Business Links page of our website.Membership Year and Dues The membership year runs from July 1 to June 30 of each year. If you join the Gull Chain of Lakes Association before January 1st of a particular year, you are a member until June 30th of the following year, (i.e., you joined on October 10, 2006, you will be a member until June 30, 2007.) If you join Gull Chain of Lakes Association after January 1st, you will be a member of GCOLA until June 30 the following year, (i.e., you joined after January 1, 2007, you will be a member until June 30, 2008).
